MENTAL HEALTH

Globally, 1 man dies by suicide every MINUTE of every day. In the US, approximately 4 in 5 suicides are men. The issue of suicide is incredibly complex. But we know that improving overall mental health and helping men establish better social connections can reduce the risk of suicide. The Movember Foundation looks at mental health through a male lens, focusing on prevention, early intervention and health promotion. They are focused on...

✔️ Education. Stay mentally healthy, build strong social connections and take action early.
✔️ Conversations that matter. Get comfortable with conversations about the big things.
✔️ Services that work for men.
✔️ Bright minds brought together. Innovative projects and sharing knowledge when we know something works.
✔️ Community support where and how men are comfortable.
✔️ Advocating for all men. Get governments to understand these issues and demanding action.

PROSTATE & TESTICULAR CANCER

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. ✔️ Getting men to take action early. Know the signs, symptoms and risk factors.
✔️ Bringing bright minds together to collaborate more.
✔️ Tackling biology. Increase knowledge of the most lethal tumors and how to slow or stop their progression.
✔️ Reducing side effects by helping men and their families access services and support.
✔️ Getting governments to provide affordable treatment and get new treatments into practice faster.
✔️ Promoting precision care. Distinguishing between harmless and lethal cancers, genetics, lifestyle and environment.
✔️ Helping men make tough choices. Help men make informed decisions about treatment.
✔️ Raising the standard. Identify excellence in treatment and care.
✔️ Investing in global initiatives that will mean better outcomes for men everywhere.
